BANGALORE – XFX is now offering the popular Far Cry 2 game bundled with its GeForce 9 series of graphics cards. According to a press release, in India the game is being offered free with the GeForce 9600GT card. The XFX GeForce 9 series boasts of a number of features including Nvidia’s physics engine, PhysX; CUDA technology- that improves performance in graphical applications and Hybrid Power technology, which saves the power usage by shutting off the graphics card when it is not needed.
The XFX GeForce 9 series of cards are designed for the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture and incorporates Nvidia’s PureVideo HD technology engine for better performance when playing Blu-ray and HD DVD movies.
Far Cry 2 was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and has been well received by gamers. The game is also graphically intensive and therefore has been picked up by many reviewers as a benchmark for gaming performance.
The XFX 9600GT is available in India for Rs. 9,500 (US$192) and comes with a three year warranty.
