LONDON – Security vendor Trend Micro has acquired online storage firm Humyo.
Trend Micro didn’t revealed how much it paid for the cloud storage firm.

Humyo, which is based in Leeds, offers both offline and online storage solutions aimed at consumers and businesses alike.

“Humyo’s superior data synchronisation technology – which allows multiple devices including PCs, Macs and smartphones to automatically backup to a common folder in the cloud so that consumer users can easily access their data from whatever device they have in hand – is a clear differentiator that helps to ensure that users’ files are always safe and secure as well as effortlessly organised,” said Eva Chen, CEO of Trend Micro.

“Their online storage – basically a cloud technology – fits into our strategy of providing security from and for the cloud.”
