D-Link International Pte Ltd has unveiled the DAP-2360, AirPremier N PoE Access Point with Plenum-rated Chassis. DAP-2360 is the replacement model to one of D-Link’s best selling business type Access Point – DWL-3200AP, which offers higher specifications and better performance. With the support of Gigabit Ethernet interface and wireless transfer rate of up to 300Mbps in 2.4GHz, users are able to connect with legacy 802.11b/g adapters as well as the latest 802.11n adapters to enjoy faster downloads and instant communication.

D-Link co-founder Charley Chang took on the responsibilities of board chairman. Chang stepped into this role with determination to sustain the success of D-Link, and advance the global brand.

Charley Chang is a co-founder of D-Link Corporation, and has been a member of the board of directors since the company began. Chang graduated from National Chiao Tung University and holds an EMBA from National Chengchi University. He has been dedicated to the networking industry for more than 30 years and is staunchly committed to D-Link’s corporate development. “I look forward to doing all I can to optimize the company’s value, grow the brand globally, increase operational efficiency, and improve product development and supply-chain management,” stated Chang, the new board chairman.

Chang was appointed to the chairmanship on June 10th after a recommendation from former chairman, John Lee. Lee pledged to remain on D-Link’s board of directors, maintaining his long-standing commitment to D-Link’s success.

The red dot design award is the largest and most renowned international accolade for industrial design. D-Link International has introduced the new DHP-1320 Wireless-N HomePlug AV Router with a wireless speed capability of up to 300Mbps. Along with a HomePlug AV data transmission speed of up to 200Mbps and three Fast Ethernet ports, the DHP-1320 is specifically designed to provide and extend wireless Internet connection to all corners of the home, simply by tapping on to the existing electrical system.

“The router is not just a device to route Internet transmission and connectivity,” said Mr Desmond Toh, Marketing Director, D-Link International Pte Ltd. “As the first network provider to introduce the DHP-1320 router with HomePlug capability, we have innovatively reinvented the router’s role in the home and created a new feature for it – that of an Access Point for extending wireless connectivity, to ensure that all corners of the home are connected.”

Featuring a dual-mode operation, the DHP-1320 can be configured either as router or access point. In router mode, the DHP-1320 is connected to a cable or DSL modem to receive and share broadband Internet connection with multiple computers, game consoles or media players. In access point mode, the DHP-1320 creates a Wi-Fi connection based on the existing network, effectively extending the network to cover the blind spots.

Both modes offer comprehensive security features that prevents unauthorized access to the network, such as AES data encryption for protecting against intruder wire-tapping, WEP, WPA and WPA2 to ensure that data is securely transmitted wirelessly. Dual active firewalls (SPI and NAT) also help to guard against potential attacks originating from the Internet.

Equipped with the innovative D-Link Green, the DHP-1320 has environmentally friendly features such as Wi-Fi Scheduling, PLC Power Saving and Power Saving by Link status. Wi-Fi Scheduling allows administrators to configure specific hours to power off the networking to save energy. By monitoring the link status of the devices, DHP-1320 will reduce the power usage of ports that are idle. Similarly, the router will shut down the HomePlug AV function when no Ethernet activity or wireless connection is detected.

Designed to handle bandwidth intensive applications such as HD video streaming, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls and lag-free online gaming experiences, the DHP-1320 also features Shareport technology. This allows users to connect multifunctional printers to the USB port to share printing and scanning functions within the home. SharePort also supports external hard drives and flash storage for sharing files in the home network.

D-Link has announced three new categories of innovative, industry-leading home networking technologies. The company’s DLNA-certified HD Media Routers, SmartBeam products and 500Mbps Powerline solutions enable consumers to take advantage of now prevalent HD video-on-demand, HD gaming and other bandwidth-demanding applications with a strong Wi-Fi network platform and intelligent antenna technology.

D-Link has unveiled the newest member to their IP Surveillance Camera range – D-Link SecuriCam (DCS-7410 & DCS-7510). The DCS-7410 & DCS-7510 are outdoor network cameras equipped with High-Resolution Sony CCD image sensors for better performance under varied lighting conditions. The camera includes infrared LEDs for night vision illumination and a removable infrared-cut-filter (only DCS-7510) to enable 24 hour surveillance. With IP66 certified weatherproof enclosures, these cameras can be safely deployed for outdoor environment. 802.af compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) eases the installation process by providing both data and power through a single cable. The cameras provide DI/DO interfaces for connection to external devices such as IR sensors, switches and alarm relays for effective surveillance.

“DCS-7410/7510 performs exceptionally well in outdoor application. The built in IR LEDs and ICR features allow these cameras to operate even in total darkness enhancing security level and protecting valuable assets.” said Mr Desmond Toh, Marketing Director, D-Link International Pte Ltd.

The DCS-7410 and DCS-7510 are day and night outdoor cameras with built-in infrared LEDs. These cameras can detect moving objects in total darkness at distances of up to 30 or 50 meters. Both equipped with a high-resolution Sony CCD image sensor and these cameras provide you with excellent image quality and a high level of detail. The built-in Infrared Cut Removable (ICR) filter in the DCS-7510 allows the camera to capture images in both good light and low-light conditions.  These features make the DCS-7410/7510 an ideal solution for 24-hour surveillance.

The DCS-7510 is equipped with a varifocal 9 – 22 mm lens that allows you to manually change the focal length. You will get a wider field of view with a shorter focal length, whereas a longer focal length narrows the field of view and allows you to zoom in further. The focus and zoom controls are located on the outside of the camera case for easy adjustment. This camera also has an auto-iris that automatically adjusts the exposure according to lighting conditions for optimum picture quality.

For easy installation in high places, the cameras comes with built-in 802.3af compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE), giving users the freedom to place the camera anywhere by eliminating the need for a nearby power outlet.
A live feed from the camera can be accessed on a 3G mobile network by using a compatible mobile phone or PDA with a 3G video player. Users have a flexible and convenient way to remotely monitor a home or office in real time from anywhere within their 3GPP service area.

The cameras are housed in an IP66 certified weatherproof casing which protects against rain and dust. An adjustable top shield guards the camera sensor from direct sunlight while providing ventilation. The wire-in-bracket design assembles tightly to protect the cables not only from outdoor wear and tear, but also from criminal acts such as intentional cable cutting.
The bundled D-ViewCam software allows you to manage and record videos to a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device such as the D-Link DNS-323. Alternatively, you can record videos to a Network Video Recorder (NVR) such as the D-Link DNS-722-4 or DNS-726-4. These NAS and NVR devices support RAID-1 for you to back up your recorded videos. Playback of recorded videos consumes less time with triggered event browsing and smart database searching features. You can also connect the cameras to I/O sensors, and configure the system to send automated e-mail notifications for unusual events.

With IP66 certified weatherproof enclosures, these cameras can be safely deployed for outdoor environment. 802.af compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) eases the installation process by providing both data and power through a single cable. The cameras provide DI/DO interfaces for connection to external devices such as IR sensors, switches and alarm relays for effective surveillance.

Both cameras can detect moving objects in total darkness at distances of up to 30 or 50 meters. The built-in Infrared Cut Removable (ICR) filter in the DCS-7510 allows the camera to capture images in both good light and low-light conditions. These features make the DCS-7410/7510 an ideal solution for 24-hour surveillance.

The DCS-7510 is equipped with a varifocal 9-22 mm lens that allows the user to manually change the focal length. The user gets a wider field of view with a shorter focal length, whereas a longer focal length narrows the field of view and allows the user to zoom in further. The focus and zoom controls are located on the outside of the camera case for easy adjustment. This camera also has an auto-iris that automatically adjusts the exposure according to lighting conditions for optimum picture quality.

The cameras are housed in an IP66 certified weatherproof casing which protects against rain and dust. An adjustable top shield guards the camera sensor from direct sunlight while providing ventilation. The wire-in-bracket design assembles tightly to protect the cables not only from outdoor wear and tear, but also from criminal acts such as intentional cable cutting.

The D-Link DCS-7410 and DCS-7510 will be available at D-Link’s authorized retailers, resellers and distribution partners with a suggested retail price that starts at P31,000 and P41,000 respectively.

D-Link Releases DKVM-440 and DKVM-450

D-Link, one of the world’s biggest suppliers of network products, today released the DKVM-440 and DKVM-450 8 and 16 port combo KVM Switches. Both switches offer a high-end local remote management solution to allow owners to control up to 4096* PCs from a single console.

“The D-Link DKVM-440 and DKVM-450 KVM Switches help to lower setup cost by sharing a single set of input and display devices by an array of servers within a rack,” said Mr Desmond Toh, Marketing Director, D-Link International Pte Ltd. “By eliminating the need for a dedicated keyboard, mouse and monitor, the switches lend a helping hand in saving space, money and power.”

The DKVM-440 and DKVM-450 KVM switches allow business owners to toggle seamlessly between clients using the front panel buttons, keyboard hotkeys, or the On-screen Display (OSD) menu to allow for flexible and effortless management. The on-screen menu allows different channels to be labelled with a descriptive name to provide clear and easy navigation, while a handy Auto Scan function allows users to automatically toggle between multiple computers sequentially at preset intervals.

Both switches also come with a front LED panel for the workstation and server status to be conveniently monitored. Green LEDs indicate when all systems are online, while separate red LEDs indicate when a particular system has been selected for management via console.

Featuring a sturdy metal chassis which can be mounted in a standard 19” rack, the KVM switches can also be daisy chained together to up to three levels deep to increase the number of PCs or consols to be controlled. These cascaded units require no special configuration and work automatically configure themselves as master or slave.

Target workstations can also be connected via keyboard and mouse or PS/2 using a custom combo cable, while a PS/2 or USB keyboard can be emulated on each terminal to allow all attached computers to successfully boot without keyboard errors. Hot-pluggable connections allow owners to easily add or remove devices from the KVM switches without having to shut them down.

The D-Link DKVM-440 and DKVM-450 8 and 16 port Combo KVM Switches are available at authorised retailers, resellers and distribution partners.

The DKVM-440 is available at a suggested retail price of Php 14,000 and the DKVM-450 is available at Php 22,000.
