The IP Coalition awards the IP Seal to eight (8) Manila-based business establishments for their commitment to adopt and implement a policy of intellectual integrity, which entails not only respect for and recognition of their rights to their own intellectual creations, but also the rights of others and to deal only with products and services which do not infringe upon intellectual property rights.
The IP Seal implements one of the IP Coalition’s core visions which is to cultivate public awareness of and respect for Intellectual Property Rights.
To achieve this, the IP Coalition partners with businesses, which, as a matter of policy and practice, observe such standards consistent with IP promotion and protection, and projects them to the world as IP Icons, or as models of best business practices.
The badge of the IP Icons is the IP Seal. The IP Seal conveys the message that the products and services offered by IP Icons are assured of quality, safety, excellence and legitimacy of source or origin.

In a knowledge-based economy, intellectual property creation offers the greatest opportunities for economic growth and sustainability. Our IP Icons will blaze the trail for others to follow, “John Lesaca, IP Coalition Chairman, said.
The IP Seal was designed by no less than the world-class Filipino artist, Joe Datuin, recipient of the Grand Award, Olympic Art and Sports Contest of the International Olympic Committee, Sculpture Category, during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In that competition, Mr. Datuin bested artists from thirty-six countries with his winning masterpiece, “Dancing Rings”, which reinterprets the traditional Olympic logo as the “flight of the athletic spirit”.
