
Filipinos look up to their everyday heroes for inspiration and what better way to salute these Pinoy icons than to have their images splendidly displayed during an exhibit.
At a recent exhibition entitled “Pinoy Pop Icons,” Epson Philippines inspired viewers by displaying splendidly recreated images of greatly admired Pinoy personalities. The exhibition was held at the Gallery 7 Digital Studio located at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
The “Pinoy Pop Icons” exhibition salutes the achievements of popular Filipinos who have carved a niche in the country’s pop culture and inspired the population. This modern-day tribute to famous men and women in entertainment and sports aimed to instill a strong sense of pride while promoting the artistic medium as a catalyst to awakening a renewed sense of appreciation, interest and respect for these everyday Filipino figures.
To fully represent their status as Pinoy Icons, the works of art used one of the world’s most capable and desirable photographic printers, the Epson Stylus Pro 9600. With its highly advanced ink, print head and printer engine design, the professional level Epson Stylus Pro 9600 series is the perfect technology partner to print the images of homegrown icons featured in the exhibit.
Some of the Pinoy icons featured in the exhibit were IBO Junior Welterweight World Champion Manny Pacquiao, award-winning actor, philanthropist and Philippine National Artist Fernando Poe Jr., Comedy King Dolphy, megastar Sharon Cuneta, world-class singer Lea Salonga, billiards king Efren “Bata” Reyes and young superstar Judy Ann Santos. Epson’s printers and inks were used to faithfully recreate these images, ensuring that today’s Pinoy Icons are artistically and colorfully celebrated.
In its ongoing effort to revolutionize the color-critical industry, Epson recently introduced new printers, the new Epson Stylus Pro 7900 (24-inch) and 9900 (44-inch) printers.
